We spent Thanksgiving in the mountains with Brian's family. Here are a few of our family pictures.
Here are some pictures from around our house. Charleigh is so entertained by our dogs, Edith and Riggs. Riggs is likewise! I was able to catch some really sweet pictures of Riggs loving on Charleigh one day while she was playing. Riggs was nudging Charleigh on her belly with his nose and she was laughing!
Charleigh has cut four teeth, two on top, two on bottom. I noticed that in the bathtub she loved to suck on one of her terry cloth finger puppets, Ophelia the Octopus, so I put it in the freezer so that she could soothe her aching gums. It was so cute to see, so of course I snapped a picture!
Charleigh started sitting up all on her own right before Christmas. Why is it that babies have the greatest posture? I wish we adults could sit up like that!
Charleigh loves eating her solids! She's starting to voice her independence, so she sometimes has a spoon in her hand to play with so as not to grab the one with food on it out of our hand.
A few irresistable pictures...
We spent Christmas at home this year. My family from Charlotte came in town for our gift exchange, and my cousin, Kendra, her husband, Ben, and their two boys, Jackson and Gavin, stayed with us for a few nights. We had lots of fun playing together. Charleigh was very intrigued by the boys and watched their every move. Charleigh got lots of fun new toys from grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles, and after she played with all the wrapping paper, she enjoyed examining each one in detail, trying to figure out how they work.
One of our favorite pictures from Charleigh's 6 month session with the photographer that photographed me and Brian's wedding:
We are so excited to see what the next month or two brings. The days of plopping Charleigh down on the floor knowing she'll be in the same spot if we turn our backs are quickly coming to a close. We are loving every day with Charleigh, seeing her personality develop. We frequently find ourselves saying, "This is our favorite stage with Charleigh!", only to say it again a week or two later.
