On the Road Again...our past two weekends

We've had a busy past two weekends with it being Labor Day and Brian's Birthday. Charleigh's been quite a trooper through our busy-ness, and we've found it very different to have our busy weekends with an infant in tow, trying to compromise and meet her half way with her routine and our plans. It's easier said than done, but we all managed well!

For Labor Day weekend, my (Kara) side of the family spent the weekend up at Lake Lanier, about 30 minutes from our house. Gramma and Grampa had a campsite for their trailer for the weekend on a nice little cove on the lake where they could anchor their boat. Aunt Laurie came in town from D.C. and had a few friends join us. Great Uncle Korey, Great Aunt Wendy, and Zack were able to come down from South Carolina for the long weekend, as well. Aunt Meghan, Uncle Jeff, and Kohen came out for the day each day, too. We had a great time skiing, tubing, and wake boarding all weekend, eating some great food, and hanging out laughing together. Charleigh enjoyed the fresh air and catching a few zzz's in the trailer a few times each day.
Charleigh was sporting her Clemson dress for the first game..."It's Game Day, Baby!"

Aunt Meg letting Charleigh get kisses from Riggs, but she did get some sweeter kisses that weekend, too...

SO HAPPY!

This past weekend, we went to the mountains for Brian's birthday. It was Charleigh's first time at the condo. Brian and Pops played some golf while Charleigh, Mimi, and I hung out at the condo before Aunties Kari and Elaine came up. Saturday consisted of a yummy breakfast out, a trip to Blowing Rock for Art in the Park, and a trip to Elizabethton, TN to meet Charleigh's great grandmother, Nana. The weather couldn't have been more beautiful for all of our events that day. Charleigh was her chipper self with Nana, showing Nana her sweet smile and talking to her. What a special time!

What?! No Puma tracksuit? Just kidding. I'm so glad we had Labor Day together - what a fun time!
