While at the hospital, all of our immediate family were able to come and visit, minus 2 brother in-laws. Charleigh spent Thursday night at Poppy and Grandma's house, and then Friday night at Aunt Meg, Uncle Jeff, and Kohen's house. She came up to the hospital Friday afternoon for the first visit with her new sister, Reagan, and returned on Saturday morning for a visit, as well. On Charleigh's first visit, she was a little overwhelmed by all of the visitors in the room at once, but quickly warmed up and enjoyed pointing out all of "Baby's" facial features. When she was getting ready to leave, she gave Reagan a kiss, and when Kohen tried to touch Reagan, she told him, "No touch Baby, Guhguh". Quite the protective sister already!
Sunday morning, our first morning at home with Reagan, Charleigh came downstairs when she woke up and crawled up on the couch with Reagan and me, and we shared some of the sweetest moments, the kind I've been dreaming about and hoping for our two girls. Charleigh was so affectionate to Reagan, loved letting Reagan grip her finger (she giggled), touching her nose, mouth, and especially looking at Reagan's "coot feet" (cute feet).
Reagan's first doctor's appointment went perfectly on Monday. She had lost only 5.5 oz, which was well within the 5-10% of her birthweight. She's a great eater and my milk came in quickly, so I know that has a lot to do with it. The doctor said that she looked perfect and was beautiful...we couldn't agree more!
