We had so much fun this Easter with Charleigh. She and I went to an Easter Celebration with some moms and kids from our small group at church. Charleigh wasn't crawling, so she didn't participate in the egg hunt, but she had so much fun watching the other kids, eating lunch, playing on the playground, and listening to stories about the reason we celebrate Easter.
On our way to an Easter Celebration
Charleigh LOVED the balloons, as you can see by her expression! :)
Charleigh was so interested in the book, so much so that she tried to help turn the pages for the mom who was reading it her little group.
Charleigh loved standing at the door to "talk" with Queso, Aunt Elaine's dog
Enjoying a swing with Dad
Playing with the xylophone that the Easter Bunny brought...first display of major temper tantrum with the short cord on the mallet...that was quickly removed! :)

Lazy afternoon swing in the hamock by the lake with Mimi
We spent Easter weekend at the Taylor's. We had great weather, enjoyed some nice walks and time playing outside, and time visiting with family.
Charleigh loved playing with the eggs that we dyed. Of course, they ended up in her mouth, too, but she had a blast holding them up in the air, banging them together, and looking at the colors.
We went hiking with Charleigh for the first time a few weekends ago. We went to Raven Cliffs near Helen, GA. It was a great first trip with her. She loved her backpack ride, so much so that she even took a little nap on the way back to the car. We ate a picnic lunch when we got to the falls, and Charleigh enjoyed stretching her legs, pointing at the dogs, and people watching. After the hike, we stopped in Helen to get a Christmas ornament to commemorate Charleigh's first hiking trip and an ice cream treat. Charleigh made some funny faces the first few bites, but I wasn't quick enough to capture it on camera. We didn't get a good family picture (the one that would have been good, the guy who was taking the picture had his finger in front of the camera...oh well), but here is a sampling of Charleigh's day.
Charleigh playing "Peek A Boo"...she places her hands on top of her head!
Charleigh loved sliding down this slide because she didn't have to be held. She smiled ear to ear.
Always happy in a swing!
We celebrated Kohen's 2nd birthday last weekend. Charleigh had a blast at the park...sliding, swinging, and eating.
Charleigh playing "Peek A Boo"...she places her hands on top of her head! Here are some pictures from around the house recently. Charleigh finally started getting herself up to a sitting position, so she realized that she could do that anywhere, including her crib. We found her after her afternoon nap sitting in her crib, having pulled her blanket from the side down, and playing with her music machine. It was very cute!
Charleigh has started sucking her thumb the "correct way" now, so we rarely see the unique way she had started to suck her thumb when she was wee little. I had to snap a picture of it because I realized it would be a rarity to see it anymore. She sucks her right thumb with all her fingers extended on her cheek, and she uses her left hand to rub her nose or palm of her right hand.
Charleigh had fun with Riggs the other afternoon, learning to play tug of war. Riggs was so gentle and easy on her. They're going to be best buddies!
This was the first time I found Charleigh pulled all the way up to standing. Notice her foot inside one of her toys! She also points at everything now, and she grunts to get your attention directed at what she's pointing out.
The biggest news we have is that Charleigh is officially crawling! Thursday afternoon she just took off towards Riggs who was laying on the kitchen floor. She's having a blast exploring each room she's in, and I can tell that it exhausts her because she's taking some really good naps! Here comes Trouble!
